Geoff Hoon, Transport Secretary, today officially opened the Millership Way, the new route to Ilkeston's Tesco.
Your intrepid correspondent was there when Hoon cut the ribbon, and was the first to cross the new road on his bicycle (well, actually I went over it a few days ago, but unofficially).
Hoon also spoke of a new railway station for Ilkeston, and of the government's commitment to improving transport for not only motorists, but walkers and cyclists too.
